September 2022 Fanfic Recs

forestsofpineMy kids returned to school in early September and immediately came down with covid. Unfortunately, it also coincided with bad air quality from the end of the wildfire season in our area, so we couldn't even open the windows for ventilation, and of course everyone got sick. First my oldest, then my youngest, then my spouse, and finally I fell ill. It was the first (known) time any of us have had it and it wasn't horrible (we're all vaxxed and boosted) but not exactly fun either. The interesting thing is we all got a slightly different mix of symptoms - the body aches were the worst for me. By the time everyone was recovered, out of quarantine, and back to school/work, taking care of my sick family and then being sick myself had taken up almost half the month.
As a result, I did not manage to get much fic reading done this month, so this is a rather small batch of recs, but here are some of the fics I did enjoy in September:

Good Manager Fic Recs
The enemies-to-allies bromance between Kim Sungryong and Seo Yul was delightful and had excellent slash potential, but I also thought Seo Yul's crush on Yoon Hakyung was cute, and was happy to find this sweet post-canon 5+1 fic:

Pete never thought Vegas was a monster because he doesn’t believe in monsters. But living with him has made him much more human. Now Vegas is a living, breathing person, who snores and shits and has bad dreams, just like Porsche. It’s weird but good.

Porsche doesn't mean anything by it, he knows. Porsche is nice, Porsche includes him and Arm and Pol in his night's out, even when it's obvious he could charm Tankhun into partying alone. It isn't Porsche's fault he's a perfect human specimen, sculpted by the gods and blessed to turn heads wherever he goes. He's not being mean, he's just too pretty to know when his blunt jokes turn to knives.
If Pete was handsome maybe he could drag that pretty face down to his level. He could hold Porsche as they languished in muddy waters rather than keeping him afloat so he could get pulled out by the boss himself.
He lets himself laugh at the joke, and keeps the image clenched tightly in his fist, so he's not tempted to break it across the slope of Porsche's perfect nose.
